Community ownership with Charlotte Hollins of Fordhall Farm

In this week’s You’re MarketingKind gathering Charlotte Hollins, manager of Fordhall Farm, shared the amazing story of how she and her brother Ben saved their family farm by making it the first community-owned farm in England.

Charlotte talked about the benefits of community-ownership and encouraged us all to get invovled with Fordhall and to support the We’re Right Here community power campaign.

Members commented:

“I particularly loved the point about the 'halo' effect of people being a member of the Fordhall community. In that once people are a member their behaviour shifts and they start getting more engaged in other community projects. The ripple effect (and therefore impact) of being part of Fordhall will be huge as it will impact sustainable behaviours large and small for members and likely their families too.”

“Fantastic session thanks Charlotte, inspirational attitude that seemed to just infectiously rub off on me, and lots to take away to create more engagement within my communities.”
