For our second Digital Fireside, we will be talking to serial entrepreneur and champion of compassionate disruption, Dr Mick Jackson, for a heartening take on how making enterprise meaningful can drive success and change lives.

As we continue to recover from the impact of the pandemic, individuals and businesses alike are increasingly awakened to the responsibility they bear in creating a more resilient, sustainable, and inclusive future. Many of us wish to pursue meaningful, purpose-driven work that helps tackle key societal and environmental issues through our businesses and brands, so where do we start?

In conversation with Mick Jackson and your peers at MarketingKind, you will find the inspiration and support you need to reflect on your purpose and create meaningful impact through your work. If you believe business can and should be a force for good, then you are in great company!

Mick Jackson is a serial entrepreneur, author and Ex Chart topping rock singer. In 2001 he made headline news when he turned back from his attempt to climb K2 to save the life of his dying sherpa. The experience taught him the true nature of humanity and inspired him to create the WildHearts Group, the world’s leading B2B Social Business. Under its mission ‘Business for Good’, WildHearts operates banks dedicated to empowering poor rural women in Sub-Saharan Africa and is the largest manufacturer and distributor of free reusable sanitary pads for school girls in South Africa. Mick also created Micro-Tyco, the multi-award-winning entrepreneurial training programme. To date, WildHearts has transformed over 1.25 million lives globally and invested over £25 million in its vision.

Mick’s work has been recognised globally; he has received numerous honorary doctorates, won EY Entrepreneur of the Year and is listed in the Meaningful Business 100. Mick is also the second only recipient of the highly prestigious Babson Social Innovation Award from the world’s top school in entrepreneurship. We are especially pleased to say that Mick is also a passionate member of MarketingKind.

The Digital Fireside is a welcoming space in which MarketingKind members come together to reflect and grow with inspiring leaders and change-makers. The gathering will be hosted by Mindy Emsley and will include the chance to refine your own approach to making enterprise meaningful.
