In our June 13th xChange Mindy Emsley and Paul Skinner will interview Juliet Davenport, OBE, Founder and former CEO of Good Energy and author of The Green Start-Up, and explore the question 'Can every enterprise be as green as Good Energy?'.
Good Energy is one of the UK's first entirely renewable electricity supplier and generator companies. The company has been a catalyst for entrepreneurship among dozens of renewable power generators in England, Wales and Scotland.
The Green Start-Up: Make Your Business Better for the Planet is described as an essential toolkit for the modern-day entrepreneur. It aims to help turn the dial on the most pressing questions facing founders today, and demonstrate that businesses can still make a profit while also looking after the planet.
Juliet was appointed to the Natural Environment Research Council in 2015, sits on the Industry Panel for HM Treasury's Review on Patient Capital and is a member of the Corporate Advisory Group for the British Academy's Future of the Corporation project.
In 2017 Juliet was invited to become a member of the Joint Advisory Board on Climate Change and Environmental Research at Imperial College London and the London School of Economics. And she was awarded an OBE for services to renewables in 2013.
