xChange: Can all good marketing be marketing for good? With Seth Godin

MarketingKind+xChange+with+Seth+Godin

This xChange will help us re-imagine marketing as a true vocation with the capacity to re-kindle much needed hope as we emerge from the pandemic and create change that people deeply need.

We’ll uncover Seth’s perspective on whether and how all good marketing can be marketing for good and there will be an extended opportunity for you to put your own questions to Seth live in a discussion that will change how many of us perceive our role as marketers and thereby influence our work and its impacts for many years to come.

Seth is one of the most influential marketers of all time (one list of marketing greats lines him up between Plato and Steve Jobs!). He has written 20 international bestsellers, translated into 35 languages. From Tribes to Purple Cow or Linchpin, his books have shaped our understanding of marketing for generations. His ideas have built billion-dollar companies and raised nearly that much for important charities. His blog is one of the most popular in the world and his altMBA and Akimbo workshops have transformed the work of thousands of people.

Perhaps most importantly for us, Seth is also one of the world’s most positive marketers. His most recent books, This is Marketing and The Practice, redefine the core pursuit of marketing and restore generosity to the heart of the creative process. Seth believes the purpose of marketing is to make a difference and the initiative he founded to help people connect, learn together and develop the tools they need to bring about the change they want to see in the world is now structured as an independent B-Corps to fulfil that mission.

As with all our xChanges there will also be an opportunity to put good marketing into practice yourself, in this case by helping Local Village Network to create more education and career pathways for disadvantaged young people.
