xChange: What if marketing wasn’t selfish?

On Thursday October 15th we held our launch gathering to explore the question ‘What if marketing wasn’t selfish?’.

You can watch the full replay of the gathering below.

We were joined by 101 live participants. Steve Walker (Chair of MarketingKind and Director of Two-sides) hosted the gathering, John Grant (strategist and author of Greener Marketing) curated the discussion and Caroline Taylor, (on sabbatical from her role as Chief Marketing Officer for IBM Global Markets), Mandy Bobrowski (Marketing Director of Divine Chocolate) and Célia Pronto, (Managing Director of Love Home Swap) joined as panelists.

It was a fantastic discussion that covered everything from imagining a marketer winning the Noble Peace Prize to sharing our individual journeys as marketing professionals. Participants shared far more questions than we had time to cover and many came forwards to offer their expertise and business assets to support the Dear Green Santa campaign to empower children to express their desires for the planet.

You can watch the Dear Green Santa conversation below including Mandy’s decision to include the campaign on next year’s Divine Chocolate advent calendar!

We encouraged everyone to pledge to take three unselfish marketing action steps as a result of this gathering. One action step open to all of us is to contribute our marketing expertise to the Dear Green Santa campaign.
