In our May Digital Fireside Lauren Cooper, an experienced fintech marketing leader and a member of MarketingKind, will interview Disha Ravi, a young climate activist working to give a stronger voice to people most affected by the climate emergency.
Together we will explore what it means to be on the front line of climate change, both in terms of the people most affected by the impacts and the activists taking risks to inspire change.
Disha is a climate change activist from Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
In 2021 she was arrested for supporting the Indian farmers’ protest. The arrest was widely criticized both within India and internationally.
She is a founder of Fridays for Future India, has organised strikes across the country and was instrumental in setting up Fridays for Future Most Affected People and Areas (MAPA).
She campaigns and writes about climate justice with a focus on communities experiencing the worst impacts of the climate crisis now.
