In our April 30th xChange Paul Skinner, founder of MarketingKind, will interview Raj Sisodia, co-founder of the Conscious Capitalism movement and author of 15 books, to explore Conscious Capitalism (and conscious marketing) in the age of Trump.
Many people fear that sustainable and inclusive approaches to business may fall back under the influence of today’s politics, the divisive elements of our culture and the seemingly ever more polarising (social) media environment. Trump and his policies are already impacting us all and form part of a broader trend which may be putting much of the fabric of society at risk. Will big business reveal that its prior commitment to purpose and stakeholder capitalism was wafer thin? Or is now the perfect time to show that good business is about securing a meaningful and prosperous future for all stakeholders?
A founding member of the Conscious Capitalism movement, Raj Sisodia is FEMSA Distinguished University Professor of Conscious Enterprise and Chairman of the Conscious Enterprise Center at Tecnologico de Monterrey. He is also FW Olin Distinguished Professor of Global Business (on leave) at Babson College. He is the Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Conscious Capitalism Inc.
Raj has consulted with and taught executive programs for numerous companies, including AT&T, Nokia, LG, DPDHL, POSCO, Kraft Foods, Whole Foods Market, Tata, Siemens, Sprint, Volvo, IBM, Walmart, Rabobank, McDonalds and Southern California Edison. His work has been featured in the Wall Street journal, The New York Times, Fortune, Financial Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, CNBC and many other media outlets.
In 2003, Raj was cited as one of “50 Leading Marketing Thinkers” and named to the “Guru Gallery” by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
