We all know that radical change is required to avoid a global climate catastrophe. But what are the most intractable bottlenecks holding us back? And what role can marketing play in overcoming them?

Mike Barry is a Founding Member of MarketingKind and a leader in sustainable change. One of the pioneers of green business in the corporate world, he helped to develop, launch and implement Marks and Spencer’s ground-breaking sustainability programme, Plan A. Mike has worked with some of the world’s leading collaboration platforms for sustainability, such as the World Economic Forum, the Consumer Goods Forum and Business in the Community.

Dr Orit Gal is a political economist with a deep curiosity for the inner workings of complex social systems. An expert generalist, she has worked in tech start-ups; corporate market research; peace building NGOs; and innovative policy and military think-tanks. Orit is a Senior Lecturer for Strategy and Complexity at Regent’s University London and runs Social Acupuncture, a personal research project.

Dhruv Boruah is an anti-plastic campaigner, and the founder of CommonVC, a venture capital firm set up to help founders build pioneering companies for the 'common good', solving the world's biggest challenges. He is a strategic adviser on sustainable business to the UK government, an adviser to the Sustainable Design Alliance, and works with the UN.

Louise McLaren is a Founding Member of MarketingKind and a partner at Instinctif Partners, where she specialises in helping corporates apply customer, market and cultural insight to shape responsible business strategies, propositions and communications. She is one of the co-founders of the Insight Climate Collective, an activist group set up to drive the sustainability agenda in the Insight community.

Together with this fantastic panel we will explore how we can all take more effective action.

We’ll also learn from Renewable Word how they are working to end extreme poverty and reduce climate change and how we can get involved in their solutions.
